Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Proctor Silex 45802B Hot Pot, BlueCustomer Review: Not what I expected. Summary: 2 StarsI must have misread the description on this item. I thought I could do more than boil water with it. No brochure came with it to describe uses.
Customer Review: My Thoughts on the Kettle Summary: 4 StarsOn the whole I like it very much. I'm not fond of the fact that it won't turn off automatically, and if the lid isn't on perfectly the steam can give your wrist a little "ouch". Otherwise I'm pleased with it and use it on a daily basis.
Customer Review: Satisfactory product Summary: 4 StarsThe product is satisfactory. It heats quickly. I do wish that the cord could be disconnected from the unit.
Customer Review: A Top Quality Product-Does what is Claimed Summary: 5 StarsIn addition to being attractive looking, it is a rapid boiler, so I make my much needed first "cuppa" in a flash. Product performs as advertised! Winnie P.
Customer Review: Fair electric kettle Summary: 4 StarsI picked up this kettle a year and a half ago because my husband is an avid tea drinker, and I hated to wait over a kettle waiting for it to boil on the stove top.
This kettle does boil water quickly (a minute or so for a full kettle of water), but there is no whistle or automatic shut off, so you do need to wait for it to boil. It also cleans up well after using it to cook soup or noodles. The adjustable level setting is also handy if you plan on using it to cook with.
Overall, it's a decent purchase, but I got mine for about half the price here. If I were spending close to $25, I'd look around for a model with automatic shut off setting.
