Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Proctor Silex Food Chopper

Customer Review: Perfect little chopper!
Summary: 5 Stars

This chopper is great for small jobs! It dices in seconds and purees beautifully! This is perfect for a one or two person household. The cleanup is SO easy and operation is even easier. I highly recommend this item.

Customer Review: Breaks easily
Summary: 3 Stars

I have received 2 of these choppers. The first one was broken upon arrival in the top of the container. I returned it, then received a new one very quickly. I've used it a few times, and it was wonderful. It chops things up very small, and very quickly. Unfortunately, it has now craked in the same place as the first one. As of this point it is still usable, but I will not purchase the same one after this one completely breaks!

Customer Review: pretty good tool
Summary: 4 Stars

i bought this so i could make pesto, and it works great for that. i have had not trouble so far with it. it also makes a nice salsa if you dont like it too chunky.

Customer Review: Great Little Chopper
Summary: 5 Stars

This little chopper does all (and more) that I would expected it to do. The acid test for any mini chopper (for me) is whether it can make ham salad. It passed this test with flying colors, chopping the ham into a perfect consistent size (no crumbs and chunks.) It also does all those little chopping jobs that are impractical for the full size food processors. The best part is that it's inexpensive, small, quiet and very easy to clean. Please pay no mind to AVJONES who railed against this great little chopper (what kind of a cook chops spinach in a mini-chopper?) Ending, I'm a pretty darn good cook and I say this is a handy little gadget for most of the small chopping jobs that you'll ever do. Stop agonizing, just buy one.

Customer Review: Great tool.
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great chopper. It is small, so don't expect it to handle large tasks, but because it's small I use it a lot -- not much cleanup, and it's not difficult to pull out of the cabinet. I use it for onions (you have to cut them in half first), because chopping onions by hand is a pain. I've also made delicious pesto in it; just put the basil, olive oil, nuts, garlic, and a hunk of parmesan in it and twist the top to make it go. The blade is sharp (I cut myself while washing it once) so be careful. Fortunately, it doesn't start unless the top is on and twisted into the closed position, so you don't have to worry about chopping fingers by accident.
